UPDATE: 69-Year-Old Linden Woman Killed by Car in Roselle

Police officials in Roselle are investigating an auto-pedestrian strike that killed a Linden resident in the city on Friday evening.

According to Roselle Police, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim a sixty-nine-year-old Linden resident attempted to cross the street in the area of St. George Avenue and Carolyn Terrace when she was struck by a car that stayed the scene.

Officials say the severely injured unidentified woman was pronounced dead a short time later.

The investigation of the incident is active and ongoing.
