Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a 55-year-old man injured in Paterson on the evening of July 9, 2025.
According to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray, officers were called to the area of 12th Avenue and Madison Avenue around 7:46 p.m. following reports of gunfire.
When police arrived, they discovered a male victim suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim, a Paterson resident, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for medical treatment. Officers were also able to identify a possible crime scene in the surrounding area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Officials have not yet announced any arrests or identified any suspects.
