UPDATE: 49-Year-Old Camden Man Dies from late March Shooting

Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson reported a delayed homicide that occurred in the city.

The Camden County Police Department responded to reports of a man shot on March 24, 2019, at approximately 11:36 p.m.

Officials say when officers arrived, they found Mr. Anthony Lewis, 49, of Camden, inside of a residence on the 2500 block of Carman Street suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officials say Lewis was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he was receiving treatment until he succumbed to his injuries on April 13, 2019, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and there is no further information being released at this time.

No arrests have been made at this time according to officials.
