Camden, N.J. – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the 500 block of South 8th St. Saturday night, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.
Police responded to a ShotSpotter notification around 7:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found Ruben Wilson, 38, of Camden, on the 800 block of Line St. suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Wilson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
