UPDATE: 27-Year-Old Sea Bright Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 11:00 a.m. Friday, a 27-year-old male Sea Bright resident was the victim of a shooting that occurred near Putnam Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson. 

Police said the  victim, who did not notify the police following the incident, sought treatment at Riverside Medical Center, Red Bank for a non-life- threatening gunshot wound.  

He was transferred to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey.  

The Red Bank Police Department initially responded to the hospital and notified the Paterson Police Department once it was determined that the incident took place in Paterson. 

The victim was reportedly robbed at gunpoint and then shot by the same suspect.  

Police said the victim is in stable condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
