UPDATE: 26-Year-Old Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County law enforcement officials announced that at approximately 12:02 a.m. today, Paterson Police were dispatched to the area of Fulton Street and Summer Street on a report of shots fired.

Authorities said upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene in Carroll Street and Harrison Street, but no victim was identified.

A short time later, police were notified that a 26-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Based upon the initial investigation, it was determined that the victim was in the area of Carroll and Harrison streets when he was shot.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
