Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 11:05, p.m. on Saturday night members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of North 5th and Temple Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival officials say police located evidence of a crime scene in the area of Temple Street between North 5th and North 6th Street, but no victim was located.
According to police, additional evidence was located in the area of North 6th Street near Clinton Street.
A short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 24-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
