Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Belmont Avenue and North 8th Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim.
Officials say, a short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 23-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
