UPDATE: 21-Year-Old Man Injured in Paterson Shooting

Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 5:47 p.m. Friday, Paterson Police were dispatched to the area of North Main and Jefferson streets on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim.

Police said a short time later officers were advised that a 21-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Based on the initial investigation the victim was walking in the area of North Main Street and Jefferson Street when shot.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
