Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 1:00 p.m. today, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Lawrence Street and Mercer Street on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene and an 18-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
