Newark -- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Orange Police Director Todd Warren announced today that the Orange Police and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a fatal shooting.
According to authorities, at approximately 1:20 p.m., 17-year-old Christopher Terry of Orange was shot in the vicinity of 171 Main Street.
Authorities said he was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:30 pm.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests made authorize said.
