Authorities in Paterson are investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old injured late Saturday night.
According to a statement released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray, officers responded to the area of Madison Avenue and 2nd Avenue around 10:56 p.m. on May 11, after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police discovered a teenage male suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Investigators were able to identify a possible crime scene in the area. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
