Passaic County officials reported that at approximately 4:30 a.m. Paterson Police officers were dispatched to the area of North 5th Street and Haledon Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police located a 16-year-old juvenile who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Officials said the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
