Middlesex County authorities are reporting that a fatal hit and run is under investigation in Sayreville.
Police said at approximately 3:44 a.m., authorities responded to the area of Route 35 North near South Pine Avenue following the report of a hit and run.
Upon their arrival, authorities located a severely injured juvenile pedestrian, 15, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are seeking a Honda Accord believed to be involved in the crash as well as the assistance of any witnesses who were in the area at the time.
