Union Police Investigate ‘Grandchild in Distress’ Scam

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with a scam investigation.

According to officials, a senior citizen from out of state received a call stating that his grandson had been arrested and needed bail money.

Police say the victim was instructed to send money to an address in Union, but the packages were ultimately intercepted by the woman in the photos.

Authorities believe the woman left the area in a tan Nissan Altima.
