A collaborative effort between the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Bloomfield Police Department resulted in a successful undercover operation carried out at the Top Health Spa, located at 28 Washington Street in Bloomfield.

Officials said during the course of the investigation, an undercover officer was propositioned for illicit sexual activity by one of the masseuses.

After this interaction, additional officers intervened and apprehended the masseuse, who was found to be without a valid license.

The individual in question, identified as Sujin Huh, a 41-year-old resident of Flushing, N.Y, was taken into custody and transported to the police headquarters.

She now faces charges of engaging in prostitution.

Following her arrest, officials said Ms. Sujin Huh was issued a summons and subsequently released, pending a forthcoming court appearance.

Bloomfield Police Chief George Ricci expressed his gratitude towards the officers of the Bloomfield Police Department and the detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office who played integral roles in this operation.

The investigation was instigated by a concerned resident who drew attention to the quality of life issue. Chief Ricci underlined the police department's dedication to maintaining the safety of Bloomfield as a community.

He emphasized, "This type of illegal activity has no place in our Township. Our Police Department will continue to work hand in hand with our community to keep Bloomfield a safe place to live and raise a family. We will thoroughly investigate all allegations of illegal activity."
