An early morning shooting in Newark's South Ward left two male victims seriously injured.
Gunfire rang out in the area of 15 Wainwright Street sending police rushing to the scene where a male victim in his late 20's was found suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. Police found another male victim (around the age of 30) shot multiple times at that location.
Both men were taken to University Hospital where they were reported to be in serious condition.
Police searched the area for evidence and a possible suspect for over an hour.
The motive for the shootings are under investigation.
