A double shooting in the the city's South Ward is under investigation.
Gunfire erupted in the teens block of Seymour Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. rushing several police officers to the scene where cops located a male victim suffering injury form gunfire according to reports.
The victim was transported to the hospital suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
A thorough search of the area had cops locate a second victim shot at that location.
The extent of this victim's injuries are unknown.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation. There were no arrests made.
The Newark Police Department is handling the investigation.
