There were non-life threatening injuries reported in a double shooting that happened in the city's South Ward overnight.
According to authorities, detectives from the Department's Cease Fire Shooting Task Force are in the early stages of an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of two teens near the intersection of Avon Avenue and Sommerset Streets.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area at around 11:30 p.m. where Cease Fire Task Force Officers located two victims injured by gunfire according to authorities.
Both male victims are being treated in University Hospital where one is currently in critical condition and the other in stable condition authorities said.
The age of the victims have not been immediately released. Authorities said the pair is expected to survive.
"At this early juncture of the investigation, detectives are continuing to gather facts and follow leads with the motive being unknown at this time" authorities said.
