Two Pedestrians Struck by Car in North Bergen

Police in North Bergen are looking into the cause of a pedestrian strike that injured two victims in a section of the city overnight.

It happened around midnight where police and EMS rushed to the intersection of  83rd Street and Tonnelle Avenue to investigate reports of an accident. 

Emergency crews arrived and found two pedestrians suffering various injuries after a car struck them at that location. 

Police say both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment and are expected to survive. 

Police have not released the cause of the pedestrian strike at this time.
