Hudson County officials have charged two men with various drug and weapons offenses following a narcotics investigation in Jersey City.
According to officials, the investigation led to the seizure of a handgun, two high-capacity magazines, more than 170 grams of cocaine with a street value of over $7,000, more than four pounds of marijuana with a street value of over $8,000, various prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia, and over $20,000 cash.
Officials say, Talha Khan, 27, of Jersey City, and Hameem Khan, 21, of Rosendale, New York, are charged with the following:
1. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Cocaine)
2. Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Cocaine)
3. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Cocaine) Within 1,000 Feet of a School
4. Possession of a Firearm While in Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Cocaine)
5. Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
6. Two counts of Unlawful Possession of Prohibited Devices (High Capacity Magazine)
7. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Marijuana)
8. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Marijuana) Within 1,000 Feet of a School
9. Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin)
10. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Heroin)
11. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Heroin) within 1,000 Feet of a School
12. Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Vyvanse)
13. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Vyvanse)
14. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Vyvanse) Within 1,000 Feet of a School
15. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Xanax)
16. Possession with the Intent to Distribute (Endocet)
17. Possession of Proceeds from Criminal Activity
18. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with the Intent to Distribute
19. Two counts of Tampering with Evidence
20. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Cocaine)
21. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Heroin)
22. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Marijuana)
23. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Xanax)
24. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Endocet)
25. Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute (Vyvanse)
26. Conspiracy to Possess Proceeds from Criminal Activity
According to Jersey City officials, both men were arrested after a court-authorized search warrant was executed at an apartment at 159 Mallory Avenue on Wednesday, October 19.
