A late night shooting in Paterson had two people injured and hospitalized.
A person injured in the 200 block of North 4th Street had police on the scene at around 2 a.m. where officers found the male victim suffering non-fatal gunshot wounds according to reports. EMS immediately transported the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital.
Officers canvassing the area found a second victim in the 80's block of Butler suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg reports said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Police are attempting to determine if the shootings are connected to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 100 block of Main Street shortly before officers found the victims.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
