A shooting that injured two people overnight in Elizabeth has police investigating.
The incident was reported in the 100 block of Chilton Street shortly before midnight where cops were called to the scene for reports of shots fired.
Officers arriving to the scene found a male victim shot to the leg at that location.
The victim was transported to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries according to reports.
A search of the area had cops locate one other person suffering a gunshot injury in the 100 block of Cherry Street reports said.
The extent of the victim's injuries have not been released as of early Saturday morning.
Police are investigating a motive behind the shootings.
