EMS units were requested to rush to the scene of a shooting that injured two victims in a Jersey City community Monday.

It happened around 1:35 a.m. near the Walgreens in the 2300 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard.

Police were dispatched to the location after receiving several 911 calls reporting shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found two victims suffering bullet wounds to their legs and arm, but the injuries are reported as non-life threatening.

Authorities believe a dark-colored vehicle (possibly a Honda Civic) occupied by gunmen fired at the suspect and then fled the scene on Communipaw Avenue towards The City of Newark.

Both victims were rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and are expected to recover.

The suspects remain at large.
