Two Hospitalized After Early Morning Shooting in Newark

An early morning shooting that sent two victims to the hospital in Newark has police on the search for the suspects responsible.

Officials at the University Hospital contacted police when a male victim suffering a gunshot wound entered the hospital at around 3:10 am

The victim reported to authorities made a report to police that he suffered his injuries in the 50's block of Astor St. and that another person might be injured at that location.

Several police units responded to the scene where they established a crime scene and located a blood trail that led to a second victim.

According to reports, the victim suffered a graze wound to the face.

Both victims injuries are non-life threatening.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

There were no arrests made.
