Two Charged in Jackson Home Invasion

The Jackson Township Police Department is seeking the assistance of anyone who has information about the following incident.

Police Officers Ted Kucowski and Greg Schmidt responded to a residence on Vath Street on the report that two males had just entered a house and assaulted the resident, Monday at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Once on scene it was reported to the officers that the resident had been in the kitchen of the house when the two males who were known to him, entered uninvited and unannounced through an unlocked door and assaulted him.

The resident reportedly suffered a minor injury and then fled the house through a window.

A second subject who was inside at the time, fled the house and attempted to leave in his vehicle when one of the two suspects yelled to him that he had taken the keys from the car. The suspects then chased after this second subject with tools they had taken from inside the residence’s garage, which they also used to damage the windows on the vehicle before leaving.

The male suspects (pictured), who were known to the victims, were identified as:

George T. Ketcham, 31, last known address on Anthony Way in Jackson. Warrants were prepared charging him with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, simple assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Bail on the charges was set at $50,000/full. He also has an outstanding, no bail warrant out of Ocean County.

Jacob C. Ketcham, 25, last known address on Lewis Lane in Jackson.

Warrants were prepared charging him with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, simple assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. Bail on the charges was set at $50,000/full.
