Two Caught Distributing Heroin in Linden; Authorities Seize $225K in Cash

A Linden man and a Union City woman were arrested after authorities raided a residence on Purdue Place that was used for heroin processing and distributing.

After a month long investigation, members of the police department’s Narcotics Squad raided a Purdue Place residence on April 27th and arrested two individuals for distributing heroin, Captain James Sarnicki said.    Johnny Ray Kenner, Jr., 36, of Linden, and Denise Estrella, 26, of Union City, were arrested and charged with possession and distribution of heroin, distribution within a school and park zone, and maintaining a drug manufacturing facility. 

Kenner was additionally charged with possession of a firearm while committing a CDS offense and money laundering, said Sarnicki.   Investigators seized $225,000.00 dollars in cash proceeds, a .357 caliber gun, and a 2013 Nissan. The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $500,000, police said.   Kenner was being held on $600,000 bail and Estrella on $400,000 bail pending a court date set for May 4th.
