Two-Car Crash Leaves Man Critical in Bloomfield

Police in Bloomfield are investigating a crash that left a man in critical condition Thursday morning.

It happened in the vicinity of 1058 Broad Street at approximately 11:30 a.m. where two vehicles crashed causing one of the cars to lose control and slam into The Mastriano's Meat Market & Deli.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that crashed into the business, Mr. Gary Iacobacci, appeared to have been unconscious at the time of the crash.

EMS rushed Iacobacci to Mountainside Hospital in Montclair where he remains in critical condition according to police.

Police say two additional parked vehicles were damaged in the accident, but no one suffered injuries in the business.

There were minor injuries to the driver of the other car police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
