Two Arrested for Alleged Marijuana Distribution in Hackensack

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrests of Mr. Tyron S. Frost 23, of Paterson, and Mr. Jared A. Washington 20, of Passaic on narcotics related charges.

According to police, these arrests are the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office and the Hackensack Police Department

Police said, during a narcotics investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Mr. Frost and Mr. Washington were observed in a hand-to-hand drug transaction in the parking lot of the Capri Hotel in Little Ferry, New Jersey.

A subsequent motor vehicle stop resulted in the seizure several ounces of marijuana.

Police Charged both Frost and Washington with one count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely Marijuana.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Hackensack Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
