Two Arrested, $50K Seized in Plainfield Drug Raid

Officers from the Plainfield Police Narcotics / Vice Section and members of the State Police Trafficking Central Unit conducted search warrants at 231 Emerson Avenue and 905 South 2nd Street.

According to police, as a result of the search, detectives located 20 grams of raw heroin, 1650 folds of heroin, over 3 pounds of marijuana, and cocaine between both locations.

The estimated combined street value of the drugs is approximate $50,000.00 authorities said.

Police also recovered $1200.00 in U.S. currency.

Offciers suspected **Michael Mitchell, 37, of Emerson Avenue** of utilizing both locations to manufacture and distribute heroin, marijuana, and cocaine.

Police arrested Mitchell and charged him with numerous drug-related offenses.

Officers also arrested and charged **Ricky Sloan, 50,** of South 2nd Street with multiple drug-related offenses.

The investigation is active and ongoing authorities said.

Theses are mere allegations lodged against Sloan and Mitchell. The suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
