Police in Bloomfield are looking into the cause of a crash that damaged a pole and left wires down near town hall early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., emergency responders were called to the intersection of Franklin Street and Municipal Plaza to investigate reports of a crash at that location.
Crews arrived and requested PSE&G in a rush after they found a truck crashed into a pole with the driver inside and wires surrounding the vehicle.
Emergency crews were able to safely remove the driver from the truck, who was not severely injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
