Police in Trenton are on the search for a suspect who opened fire on a man causing severe injuries overnight.
According to authorities, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 130 Jackson Street at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was transported to Helene Fuld Medical Center where doctors listed him in serious condition.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
