Trenton Police are investigating a shooting that erupted in a neighborhood early Sunday morning, leaving shell casings scattered but no reported injuries.
Authorities said the incident happened around 12:10 a.m. in the 300 block of Morris Avenue, when a ShotSpotter device detected four rounds of gunfire.
Responding officers arrived on the scene and recovered four shell casings as evidence.
After canvassing the community, police determined that no one had been struck during the incident.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
The motive behind the shooting has not been determined, and detectives continue to investigate.
