Trenton Police Investigate Early Morning Gunfire

Authorities in Trenton are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred early Monday morning in the city.

According to preliminary information, at approximately 2:43 a.m., a ShotSpotter device detected multiple rounds of gunfire in the area of 706 Hoffman Avenue. 

Police units were immediately dispatched to the scene.

When officers arrived, they located several shell casings but found no victims after canvassing the surrounding neighborhood.

Trenton’s Shooting Response Team responded to lead the investigation. The suspect remains at large, and no injuries were reported.

The motive behind the shooting has not yet been determined, as the investigation remains active.
