Tinton Falls Motorcyclist Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in Neptune Crash

A 54-year-old Tinton Falls man died last night as a result of a motor vehicle collision along Route 33 in Neptune Township Tuesday evening, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

According to police, Michael Miller, 54, of Tinton Falls was driving his 1986 Suzuki motorcycle at approximately 8:58p.m., when he was struck by a 2012 Ford Escape, driven by Jose Pastrama, 52, of Neptune City.

Police said Miller was attempting to make a turn onto the northbound roadway near the intersection of West Bangs Avenue when the motorcycle struck the SUV, ejecting Miller from his seat during the collision.

EMS transported Miller to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where he was pronounced deceased at 9:59 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and Neptune Township Police Department.
