Three Victims Injured in Jersey City Shooting

Authorities in Hudson County are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured three victims in Jersey City on Monday night. 

Officials at Jersey City Medical Center notified police when two victims entered the emergency room suffering non-fatal gunshot wounds shortly before 10 p.m.

Police found a crime scene near 323 Van Horne Street, where officials said a third gunshot victim was located. 

A preliminary investigating indicated that the shooter fired multiple rounds in the area before fleeing the scene. 

Police said the most seriously injured of the three victims was struck in the chest and arm but is expected to recover. A female victim suffered a non-life-threatening bullet wound in her arm. 

According to police, gunfire struck the third individual in the hip. 

The Jersey City Police department will lead the investigation and no arrests have been reported.
