BREAKING NEWARK: Police are on the scene of a shooting that has a man fatally injured in the city's South Ward.
Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out in the 600 block of Hunterdon Street at around 5 p.m. sending scores of first responders to the scene where they located a male victim struck multiple times by gunfire. The victim has succumbed to his injuries.
A second victim has been located a short distance away also suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
A third victim reportedly walked into University Hospital suffering injury from gunfire. His injuries are not reported to be life threatening at this time.
Two black males reportedly fled in a black Cadillac.
Police have a large crime scene established.
