The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force (MCNTF) recently concluded a two-week investigation with the seizure of more than three pounds of marijuana, $2,435 in cash and a .40 caliber handgun, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

Onofri stated that in November 2019, the MCNTF received an anonymous tip regarding the sale of marijuana being conducted at a residence in the 1700 block of Princeton Avenue in Lawrenceville. An investigation was initiated and on November 19, a search warrant was executed at the Princeton Avenue address of Nazier McKoy.

McKoy, 23, was arrested and charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon while in the course of committing a narcotics offense, a second-degree crime, and additional third-degree narcotics offenses. He was released pending future court proceedings.

Officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the Mercer County SWAT Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Hamilton, Lawrence and Princeton police, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted with the investigation.
