Three Injured in Two Separate Paterson Shootings

Passaic County authorities are investigating two separate shootings that left three victims struck by gunfire at locations in Paterson during the overnight hours.

According to police, in the first shooting, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 463 10th Avenue around 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found a 23-year-old female victim struck by bullets at that location. Officials say while at the scene, witnesses said a second gunshot victim entered a vehicle that sped away from the scene.

According to police, at approximately 8:25 p.m, officials at St. Joseph's Hospital notified police that a 29-year-old male victim suffering a bullet wound in their foot entered the emergency department.

Both victims are expected to survive.

In the other shooting incident, police say just before 4 a.m. Saturday morning, St. Joseph's Hospital officials notified them that a gunshot victim entered that emergency department suffering bullet wounds.

According to police, the 29-year-old male victim told officers that the shooting happened on Beech Street before arriving at the hospital.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office was notified of both shootings.
