A late-night shooting in Trenton on Friday left three individuals wounded, prompting an active investigation by local police and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.

Authorities said the incident unfolded just before 11:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 720 Ohio Avenue, where multiple shots rang out, leading to a large emergency response.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered two unidentified victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The area was immediately secured with police tape as detectives launched an investigation, collecting evidence, including shell casings scattered across the scene.
As the investigation progressed, officials were notified that a third victim had arrived at Capital Health Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.
It is believed this individual was also injured during the same Ohio Avenue shooting.

The motive behind the violence remains unclear, and no arrests have been announced at this time. The incident remains under active and ongoing investigation.
