Three Arrested Following Search of Trenton, Hamilton Homes; Over $400K in Drugs Seized

Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported that a month-long investigation by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force concluded last week with three arrests, and the seizure of cash and approximately $430,000 in drugs.

According to police, on October 12th, officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Hamilton and Trenton police, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit, executed multiple search warrants in Hamilton and Trenton.

Police arrested Felix Feliciano, 36, at his Juniper Way residence in Hamilton, where a search revealed a small amount of marijuana and $11,000 in cash. Police charged Feliciano with possession of marijuana more than 50 grams.

A search of 722 East Brown Street, Hamilton, revealed 137 pounds of marijuana packaged in heat-sealed bundles, each marked with a brand name. Cash totaling $63,300 and 672 vials of THC oil were also seized. In addition, two bank accounts belonging to Bruno, totaling more than $91,000 in drug sale proceeds, were ordered frozen by the court. Police charged Bruno, 36, with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A search of Joseann Sonera’s home, located on the 300 block of Tyler Street in Trenton, led to his arrest after police found and seized approximately 20 grams of powder cocaine, a cocaine press and assorted drug paraphernalia. As a result of search, Sonera, 36, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detective Sergeant Brian Kiely of the MCNTF stated the seized marijuana has an approximate street value of $411,000. The THC oil, used in vape pens and modules, has an approximate street value of $23,500.

All three men were released pending future court proceedings.

Despite having been charged, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
