Three-Alarm Fire Destroys Park Ridge Building

Bergen County fire officials are looking into a fire that destroyed a condominium building overnight in Park Ridge.

The raging three-alarms blaze broke out at around 8:30 p.m. at 225 North Maple Avenue sending dozens of firefighters to the scene where upon their arrival, they observed heavy flames ripping through the roof of the building.

Fire quickly spread from a second-floor apartment into the attic area where it burned through the roof according to officials.

Much of the fire was extinguished in about one hour, but firefighters remained on the scene for hours.

There were no injuries immediately reported, and the cause has not been determined.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
