Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that sent a teen to the hospital earlier this afternoon in Elizabeth.
Emergency responders were called to the area of Route 1&9 at East Grand Street for a person struck by a vehicle.
First arriving medical responders found a 16-year-old boy injured after a vehicle struck him at that location according to Elizabeth Police officials.
EMS transported the boy to University Hospital in Newark where officials say he is in stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause.
