Teen Struck by Gunfire in Plainfield

Late night gunfire that connected on a teenaged boy in Plainfield has police on the search for the shooter.

According to a preliminary statement released by police, at approximately 10:05 pm units responded to the area of the 600 block of Berkman Street on a ShotSpotter alert.

Police say arriving units located a 17-year-old male with a non-life threatening related injury at that location.

EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment. Officials say the victim did not cooperate with authorities.
