EMS transported a teenage boy to Jersey City Medical Center late last night after the boy was found with a gunshot injury in the city according to reports.
Police contacted EMS after they responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 90's block of Ocean Avenue shortly before 11:45 p.m.
Multiple rounds of gunfire reportedly erupted in the area of Winfield and Ocean Avenue striking the boy in the leg according to reports.
The boy is reported to be around the age of 17-years-old and is expected to recover.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.
There have been no arrests immediately reported.
