Authorities in Newark are investigating shootings that left about four people injured overnight.
Reports of shots fired in the 500 block of 15th Ave. sent police to the scene at around 11 p.m. where they located a female victim inside of a house suffering a non-life threatening graze wound at that location.
The victim (who was reported to be around the age of 17-years-old) was treated at University Hospital and released a short time later.
Several minutes after the 15th Ave. shooting, police rushed to the area of Hawthorne Ave. and Badger Ave. at around 11:30 p.m. where shots rang out, striking a male victim in the leg.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he was expected to survive. Police searched the area for evidence and a possible suspect.
Multiple gun blast rang out on Palm Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. sending police to the scene where there was evidence that a shooting had occurred but no victim was located.
A male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds arrived at University Hospital a short time later. The victim was reportedly driven to the hospital by his friends. His condition has not been released.
At around 4:30 a.m., a male victim was transported by private vehicle to University Hospital suffering injuries from gunfire. Authorities believe that the victim was shot on Sunset Ave. a short time before arriving at the hospital. The victim was expected to survive his injuries.
There were no arrests reported in any of the shootings.
