Teaneck Man Accused of Inappropriate Sexual Contact with 14-Year-Old Girl

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrest of a 54-year-old Teaneck man accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with 14-year-old. 

On April 14, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Teaneck Police Department arrested Carlos Reyes after learning that he engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a fourteen year old female acquaintance.    Arrangements were made for the victim to be interviewed by detectives from the Special Victims Unit and the Teaneck Police Department at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus on April 14, 2015. During that interview, the victim provided specific details regarding what had occurred with Reyes. The ensuing investigation resulted in the arrest of Reyes. Reyes was charged with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.    His bail was set by the Honorable John Conte, J.S.C., at $100,000.00 with no ten percent option, no contact with the victim and the surrender of his passport as a condition of bail.    He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of bail.
