Suspicious Vehicle Investigation by Woodbridge Police Leads to Seizure of 500 Bags of Suspected Heroin

Detectives from Woodbridge Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit came across a vehicle on Clum Avenue in the Fords section of town that they believed was suspicious.

Police said detectives approached the parked vehicle that was occupied by Victor Rodriguez-Borrero, 40, of Woodbridge, and Aladi Rodriguez, 55, of Keasby, and engaged them in conversation. During the conversation, the detectives observed heroin in plain view which prompted them to investigate further.

Upon further investigation, detectives located approximately five hundred bags of suspected heroin, with an approximate street value of $2,000.00.

Police arrested Rodriguez-Borrero and Rodriguez and charged with Possession of CDS and Distribution of CDS.

According to officials, no bail was set for Aladi Rodriguez who has since been transferred to Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility. Victor Rodriguez-Borrero was released on his own recognizance.
