Suspects wanted for a carjacking in a Bloomfield neighborhood were seen overnight in a West Essex County town attempting to gain entry of vehicles.
According to preliminary reports, Bloomfield Police were called to an address on Berkeley Avenue to investigate reports of a carjacking in progress.
Police arrived and were told that 3-4 black males approached stole the victim's grey Toyota Rav 4 shortly before 6 p.m. then sped away from the scene.
Durgin the overnight hours, police in Fairfield say suspects occupying the carjacked vehicle sped away from them after they were spotted lurking in several communities.
Police broke off the pursuit and the car was last seen on Route 46.
There were no injuries reported.
