Newark Police are searching for the suspects who fired shots at two locations in the city Wednesday evening.
In the first incident, officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Pennington Street and McCarter Highway before 5:30 p.m. where police found evidence that a shooting occurred but no injured victims.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
A short time after the Pennington Street shooting, officers in the city's West Ward responded to shots fired in the 30's block of Telford shortly before 7 p.m. where arriving units found a vehicle struck by gunfire at that location.
There were no injuries reported or arrests made.
Both shootings are reported to be separate incidents.
The Newark Police Department is handling the investigation.
